Add the following sections to your final Key Assignment draft:PlanningThe planning that takes place in advance of action is used as a tool for predicting the future and, at the same time, attempting to control and influence future events in an organization. The planning process entails 4 steps.Define the 4 steps listed below in detail. Then, explain how you plan on initiating each of these 4 steps to assist you in planning security services for the facility.Establishing a goal or set of goalsDefining the present situationDetermining or identifying age and barriersDeveloping a set of actionsTrainingYou should describe what training needs to be done to get the officers ready for their positions. In this response, you will focus on the type of training medium that you will use for the officers, such as seminars and lectures, on-the-job training, and mentoring, just to name a few. You will also discuss the legal issue of failure to train in your response and review how this is a liability to your organization and to the client organization.Copy of Key Assignment Draft, in which the above must be added to:Management Plan, IntroductionAs the newly appointed manager for a locally operated company, I have been tasked with the position and hence responsibility of security director for a hotel and convention centre situated in a local campus.  I have to organize 24 hour daily security for the facility.  The situation presents itself as unique since the facility is owned by different entities and I have to work with campus law enforcement.  Based on this unique situation, the following management plan as requested by the manager is therefore drafted:HiringHiring of personnel is an essential part of this management process.  Due to the complex nature of the situation as well as the agreement reached with the management, the normal hiring process of the company cannot be used.  Instead, personnel for the facility will be hired directly based on the following criteria:How to Recruit PersonnelAssessing the facility is key to the hiring process.  Although the normal hiring process for the company cannot be used, it may be important to consider hiring internally.  Such may include hiring from the security company as well as the university staff.  In so doing, employees are recruited who are knowledgeable about the facility and security operations that might be relevant to the company.  However, hiring from outside also brings in new experience (Cazemier, Overbeek, & Peters, 1999).  Before doing so, though, a job description will need to be drafted, advertised and posted on job boards.  Candidates will then be shortlisted, interviewed and hired based on the qualifications below:Standards and QualificationsSurveillance Skills.Dependability.Reporting Skills.Safety Management Skills.Objectivity.Ability to deal with Uncertainty.Emotional Control.Clear Judgment.State Registration.High School Diploma (Post Graduate Degree/Certificate Recommended).Pre-Employment Background Investigations: Screening /TestingIt will be necessary to conduct background checks to enhance security as well as comply with federal and state laws.  These will include sex offender incidents, drug testing, court records, character references, past employers, medical records, social security no., education records as well as state licensing records.Important Legal IssuesIt will be important during the hiring process to avoid discrimination based on gender, age, religion, national origin among other things.  The interview panel specifically has to be cautious when asking questions so as not to imply discrimination under, for instance, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA).Shift SchedulingDAYHOURSNO.OF OFFICERSMONDAY8 AM-4 PM4 Officers per shift i.e. officers A,B,C SHIFT ONED,E,F SHIFT TWOG,H,I SHIFT THREE4 PM-12 AM12 AM-8 AMTUESDAY8 AM-4 PM4 Officers per shift i.e. officers J,K,L SHIFT ONED,E,F SHIFT TWOG,H,I SHIFT THREE4 PM-12 AM12 AM-8 AMWEDNESDAY8 AM-4 PM4 Officers per shift i.e. officers A,B,C SHIFT ONEJ,K,L SHIFT TWOG,H,I SHIFT THREE4 PM-12 AM12 AM-8 AMTHURSDAY8 AM-4 PM4 Officers per shift i.e. officers A,B,C SHIFT ONED,E,F SHIFT TWOJ,K,L SHIFT THREE4 PM-12 AM12 AM-8 AMFRIDAY8 AM-4 PM4 Officers per shift i.e. officers A,B,C SHIFT ONED,E,F SHIFT TWOG,H,I SHIFT THREE4 PM-12 AM12 AM-8 AMSATURDAY8 AM-4 PM4 Officers per shift i.e. officers J,K,L SHIFT ONED,E,F SHIFT TWOG,H,I SHIFT THREE4 PM-12 AM12 AM-8 AMSUNDAY8 AM-4 PM4 Officers per shift i.e. officers A,B,C SHIFT ONEJ,K,L SHIFT TWOG,H,I SHIFT THREE4 PM-12 AM12 AM-8 AMGiven the choice of 8 hour, 10 hour and 12 hour shifts I have found that the 8 hour shift is more appropriate.  The appropriateness to provide the coverage needed with the number of employees available is such that it allows security to always be on the ground while officers have adequate time off duty to rest.  Such improves ability to be more alert during work hours. Moreover, employee considerations before scheduling are such as hours of rest and days off duty.Relations with University Police and Other ChallengesSince the relationship between law enforcement and security can be strained due to differing goals, a plan on how to facilitate a relationship is important.  The plan will entail regular meetings to ensure things run smoothly.  Since the University Police department is already on the ground, a consensus will have to be reached as to the definite roles of our team in comparison to their presence in the institution.  Agreement on such matters will help avoid collisions that are likely to occur between personnel for going beyond certain boundaries.Private security is noted to have begun in the mid 1880’s due to a gap that existed in local law enforcement.  At that time, the local law enforcement was not as equipped as it is today hence citizens benefitted a lot from this private sector (Cazemier, Overbeek, & Peters, 2009).  Understanding this history plays an important role in my communications with the UPD as I am able to emphasize the essentialities of working together since while UPD might be adequately equipped, there may be areas where the use of private companies may be essential.  As a supervisor, I see my role in promoting this positive relationship as extremely important.Joint training programs that might be useful include team building that will thus help the two groups learn how to work together.  Other challenges that might arise however include the growth of the private firm which might mean more security guards on the field from our team.  Coordination might thus become difficult.  In order to minimize the challenges, it will be important to collaborate with the UPD at any stage of expansion.ReferencesCazemier, J., Overbeek, P., & Peters, L.
