Read the case study included in this folder before you begin this exercise. The written submission is an internal report using professional business writing skills. The analysis should be in a business format with clearly identified sections and headings for each of the required evaluation areas as presented by your instructor in class:

SECTION 1 – SITUATION

· Relevant facts – specify all of the relevant facts associated with the situation as outlined in the case study. Include facts for both the seller (FedEx Office) and the buyer (Talon Training). For FedEx Office this includes two parts – background and potential solutions. For Talon Training, this includes two parts – background and complete process for producing and shipping materials.

· Situation Questions – After analyzing the relevant facts, submit four (4) or more Situation Questions which would uncover those facts in the sales call role play.

Identify and discuss the purposes of community-based corrections. Provide an example of a “successful” community-based program.

Please cite work according to APA standards.

Qualitative and Quantitative are both research methods and research data. Qualitative gathers information such as diary accounts, open ended questionnaires, interviews and observations. Disadvantage is that data is usually descriptive data and is harder to analyze. It requires an accurate description of participant responses, for example, sorting responses to open questions and interviews into broad themes. Expert knowledge of an area is necessary to try to interpret qualitative data and great care must be taken when doing so, for example, if looking for symptoms of mental illness (McLeod, S. A. (2008). Advantage of a qualitative research method would be unstructured and group interviews which generate qualitative data through the use of open questions.  This allows the respondent to talk in some depth, choosing their own words.  This helps the researcher develop a real sense of a person’s understanding of a situation.

Quantitative research gathers data in numerical form which can be put into categories, or in rank order, or measured in units of measurement.  This type of data can be used to construct graphs and tables of raw data. Disadvantage is that experimental methods limit the possible ways in which a research participant can react to and express appropriate social behavior.  Findings are therefore likely to be context-bound and simply a reflection of the assumptions which the researcher brings to the investigation. Advantage is the relationship between an independent and dependent variable is studied in detail. The researcher is more objective about the findings of the research. Quantitative research can be used to test hypotheses in experiments because of its ability to measure data using statistics. (Jones, 2008).

I need a response to the following peers:

Peer 1

A family nurse practitioner (FNP) is a nursing professional who provides primary or specialty care to persons and families. The education requirement for FNP is a master’s degree in nursing. The advanced nursing degree programs equip them with special training and experience to assess, manage, educate, and monitor families’ healthcare. Additionally, they are required to have completed registered nursing programs and be registered. For an FNP to practice, they must be registered and acquired the necessary practitioner certification and state and federal level (American Association of Nurse Practitioners, n.d). However, the education requirements for FNPs differ across states, but most states require a Master of Science in Nursing, but a few require Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) as an option.

According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), the terminal degree to prepare nurse practitioners is Doctor of Nursing Philosophy (DNP). A key distinguishing factor between FNP and DNP is that DNP can work as independent practitioners nationwide.

FNP scope of practice is defined by states through states board of nursing. The State board of nursing is a licensing and regulatory body that establishes standards for safe nursing care, develops scope of practice, and issue licenses to qualified persons. Board of nursing from the 50 states and the District of Colombia constitutes the National Council of State Board of Nursing, which administers the National Council Licensure Examinations that are part of the licensing process.

Florida is classified as a red state when it comes to the scope of practice. This implies that it is a restrictive state that requires nurse practitioners to practice under the supervision of a physician. The second regulation relates to the prescription of Schedule IV substance, which requires FNP to acquire registration from the Drug Enforcement Administration. Thirdly, NP can practice autonomously in a primary care setting(Florida Board of Nursing n.d).

In case you’re keen on being a nurse, you need to get a bachelor’s degree and a graduate amount, additionally to keeping today’s certification and license. Upcoming nursing experts really should start the studies of theirs with a degree, associate degree or maybe bachelor’s degree in nursing. A bachelor’s degree is necessary to get into a master ‘s degree in nursing, but nursing staff are able to finish a RN BSN system to get their bachelor’s degree (Patel, Petermann, & Mark, 2019). Classes in physiology and anatomy, psychology, chemistry, public health nursing and biology are included by a registered nursing program. Clinical instruction rotations may also be necessary. A graduate program of nursing requires yet another two to four years, based on if the pupil chooses a master ‘s degree or maybe doctoral program (Patel, Petermann, & Mark, 2019). The most popular system for potential pupils will be the Master of Nursing, and that is often a 40 50 hour program, two years of graduation. Pupils in this particular program is able to select a focus zone. A master ‘s plan typically requires pupils to get involved in 2 or maybe 3 medical rotations or perhaps 700 to 800 hours in centers, private practices or health centres (Patel, Petermann, & Mark, 2019). These rotations provide pupils with hands on experience in primary care options and permit them to handle knowledgeable nursing and physicians professionals. Nearly all shows also require pupils to finish a cult or maybe study job just before graduation. The nursing program requires a minimum of two times time of the master ‘s system, as this’s an additional two to four years after the conclusion of the master’s degree. The American Association of Nursing Colleges (AACN) recommends that every nursing professionals get a Ph.D. in nursing by 2015 (Patel, Petermann, & Mark, 2019). This particular requirement is just for individuals that go into the nursing program in 2015 or even later; a master ‘s degree won’t be enough, since a doctorate will offer much better preparation for training.

You’ll find just 2 doctoral classes in the nursing field – the PhD in Nursing (The PhD and dnp) in Philosophy (PhD). By acquiring the appropriate credentials, DNP students and doctors are qualified to function as nursing professionals (Carthon, Sammarco, Pancir, Chittams, & Nicely, 2017). Even though both are terminally skilled to the nursing field, a practice based degree is going to focus much more on implementation and translation of proof in training. Even though both degrees require considerable exploration in a last DNP task or maybe thesis, doctoral process generally consists of integrative process experiences as well as the manuscript is like “telling the story” of the setup of the investigation.

For early 2015, the Tri-Council for Nursing, consisting of the American Association of Nursing Colleges (AACN), the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) as well as the National League for Nursing (NLN), in cooperation with the National Council of State Councils of Nursing (NCSBN), determined the demand for a consistent instrument (scope of practice). Representatives from the ANA, NLN and Nursing Councils, and the NCSBN staff, meticulously assessed present documentation as well as decision making algorithms and utilized the expertise of theirs to produce a regular application which would assist nursing staff as well as their employers figure out the duties that a nurse could easily do (Kandrack, Barnes, & Martsolf, 2019). This particular device is meant to be utilized by nurses, institutions, other stakeholders and nursing boards to establish certain tasks, functions or interventions inside the amount of training, competence and license of nurses, while respecting the requirements established by the nurse’s the rules/regulations and practice act of every state or even jurisdiction.
